Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation surgery is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures for women. Breast implants are designed to enlarge your breasts and/or restore the volume that may have been lost due to pregnancy, aging or weight fluctuation. Breast augmentation surgery results in more youthful-appearing breasts and can also balance and correct breast asymmetries or abnormalities and optimize body proportions. While true beauty and self-confidence come from within, many women choose to undergo breast augmentation with Dr. Robert Turner to help them look and feel their best.
Volume, Fullness and Projection For Your Breasts
Breast augmentation utilizes implants to increase the fullness and projection of your natural breasts. There are many different styles of breast implants available for you choose from. The type of implants used for your surgery will be customized to you, based on the changes you hope to achieve, your current measurements, anatomy and desired outcome. During your in-clinic consultation with Dr. Robert Turner, you’ll be able to look at and try on different implant shapes, sizes and profiles in order to assist you in making your decisions. During this assessment, Dr. Turner will take appropriate measurements of your body to ensure that you choose the right implant type and size to achieve your aesthetic goals. Because each persons preference or vision of the “ideal” size and breast shape can differ so greatly, this process is very personal and individualized. For meticulous expertise and skill, thousands have trusted their breast augmentation care to Dr. Turner, making him one of the most experienced and sought after Plastic Surgeons in Western Canada.

Recovery and Restrictions following Breast Augmentation
Finding the appropriate time to have your surgery can be difficult. Knowing what to expect after your breast augmentation surgery with Dr. Turner, will help you plan and make necessary arrangements at work and with your family accordingly. To help ensure you return back to regular daily activity as soon as possible, Dr. Turner has mastered a Rapid Recovery surgical technique, also known as the “24-hour” or “Bloodless” technique for all of his breast augmentation cases. During your consultation and based on your anatomy and volume preference, Dr. Turner will recommend placement of the implants in either a subglandular plane (over the muscle) or a sub-pectoral plane (under the muscle) and this will effect how quickly you’re able to return to heavier physical activity.

Combination Surgery
Breast augmentation can achieve dramatic and beautiful results on its own, or it can be performed in combination with other cosmetic surgical procedures. A common surgical combination is breast augmentation and mastopexy (breast lift), either done together or staged in two separate procedures. What is coming to be known as a Mommy Makeover would generally include a breast surgery and tummy tuck (abdominoplasty).
