Face Lift
Typically, the first visible signs of aging appear on the face. The effects of chronic sun exposure, gravity, loss of tissue elasticity, hereditary factors and smoking can add up and create visible signs of aging. Deep creases develop along the nose and extend to the corner of the mouth; the mid-portion of the face can sag; the jaw line slackens; and jowls can develop. The skin on the neck can become loose and wrinkled, creating the appearance of a double chin.
Rejuvenated Appearance
Many individuals feel their facial features do not reflect their youthful vitality and energy level and look for ways to refresh and rejuvenate their appearance. Facelift surgery, also known as meloplasty, counteracts the effects of aging by removing fat and tightening the skin and muscles to give the face a fresher more youthful look.
There are many different variations of the facelift procedure, but the outcomes are consistently reliable and durable. It is most often performed on people in their forties to sixties, but individuals in their seventies also have facelifts. It can be done as an isolated procedure or combined with others, to address concerns with the forehead and/or eyes. During your consultation process with Dr. Turner, the various options and methods that are best suited for your concerns will be discussed to determine if this procedure is right for you.
